The two organisations provided both depth (in terms of the workings of an organisation) and breadth (in terms of the spread of industries in manufacturing). The experience was gained in the UK between 1974 and 1982. The first company was in power transmission and conveyor manufacturing (Ammeraal NL). The second was in industrial vee belts (Optibelts) from Germany.
